How did you come by your stage name?
That’s just me man, and I’m just a kid that fell in love with music & fell in love with making it. If my music can be used as an escape for people then I’m happy. Use me as an escape route.” ~ Nikko Raguso
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I was walking through a museum in downtown Chicago when I was 15 years old. I swear that God placed this question into my head.
I asked myself “how do people make beats”? So when I got home I downloaded FL Studio and made beats for 2 years.
I fell in love with the process. I mainly made Kid Cudi and Mac Miller beats because those are my favorite artists.
After while I couldn’t find any artists to sing/write to my beats. So I became that artist.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
I take inspiration music-wise from artists/bands such as Damien Styles, MGK, Blink 182, Iann Dior, Lil Peep, The Doors, and many more old rock bands & newer ones. The sound is so freeing and fresh.
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
My latest single “BLOODY ROMANCE” is me writing a song about a girl that didn’t know what she wanted & neither did I. That shit was bloody.
Not literally but you get it. Grammy-nominated producer “Stefanlit” shot me the beat & I screamed into my mic for 10 minutes & the song was born. Beautiful!

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
I tend to get into my head a lot overthinking music and life a lot. I try and realize that this life is only temporary & I’ll be damned if the world doesn’t get to hear the music I’m creating.
Which is why I drop so frequently. People need to hear this shit. I never give up. I love this.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
I’m making incredible music for people to experience just like a bunch of other cats in this industry. I’m the best I could be.
I’m better than last year. As long as I’m evolving and creating music for people to make memories too I’m satisfied.
What are your plans for the near future?
I’m going to be an artist the mass population comes to listen to when they wanna feel something. When they wanna cry.
When they wanna turn up. When they wanna get lost.
Nikko Raguso gonna be a household name. 0 doubt about it!
