INDIE SPOT
Interview with Erick Branco
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I always loved singing a lot, I had a karaoke device here at home where I started singing, professionally I started in middle school, I created my first band and we participated in several important festivals in my city.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
I liked Michael Jackson a lot, I think I take him as inspiration not only in the way he dresses but throughout my career. I combine all this with a modern touch of Kpop culture.
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
To create my first video clip “Tente Entender” I was very influenced by the K-pop genre, I have known K-pop since 2010, at the time I listened a lot to Big Bang and Girls Generation.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
I believe I still have a lot to learn, I study a lot about music, dance and performance, I will train a lot for who knows one day I might be the best.
What are your plans for the near future?
I recently debuted my first video clip “Tente Entender”, I want to work a little more on this project, but there are new songs coming!
Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?
I would like to thank all my fans, for all the support and affection they give me, every day I wake up with beautiful messages on my Instagram, this gives me the strength to continue.
