Exclusive Interview with Upcoming Artist “Eduardo”

Exclusive Interview with Upcoming Artist “Eduardo”

How did you come by your stage name?

Eduardo is my name. As a singer songwriter I figured it would be good to go by my original name.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

Music has always been a part of me. Since I was young growing up in Lima, Peru. I was always surrounded by it. I was introduced to rock and roll at a very young age, from friends and learned more about it when I moved to the states. I have always loved Peruvian music as well, mostly what my dad listens to.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

Well, it’s a bit of everything. The acoustic sound definitely comes from listening to American music, like rock and roll, 90’s alternative music. The flow of the melodies though, I try to mix as much as I can from 60’s Beatles era for the slow tunes and Latin American music for the up-tempo songs. My phrasing in different songs changes depending on subject matter.

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

My newest project comes out February 5th. It’s called “Love Elation”. It’s a love song that I wrote for my wife a couple of years ago. When I went on the road in 2019 I added it to the set list and played it live. It got a good response, so I decided to record it and put it out close to Valentine’s day.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

I love playing live. I miss it. The pandemic put a stop to it, but when it’s over I plan on getting back on the road again.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

Well, I try to do the best I can at what I do. That’s not really up to me to decide. I do love to collaborate or go and watch other musicians though.

What are your plans for the near future?

I plan on releasing more music. Maybe getting back on the road later this year if everything starts going back to normal.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?

I would like to thank everyone that gives my music a chance and comes out to the shows. It’s really humbling as a solo act to see faces I recognize or know when I get to a venue and have them sing along, or request songs. Also, whoever created the COVID 19 vaccine, THANK YOU.
