Eternally Risen Exclusive Interview with Muzique Magazine
How did you come by your stage name?
My artist name is Eternally Risen and it transformed initially from Risen as I’ve explored and grew spiritually throughout my life. Risen is the essence of my Government name Marissa, and it is the reflection of my energetic state of consciousness “Eternally Risen”.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
Music has been instrumental to my upbringing and absolute life existence. I was a member of the church choir in my youth and always gravitated toward music stemming from my late great dad Henry Lee Anderson who played music of all types every day in my youth home life.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
I have a love for poetry therefore hip hop, rap, RnB, and jazz are my unique and peculiar style influences.
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
my recent EP Release Channel Consciousness manifested from freestyling my first two recorded songs on the EP “InnerG Be Like” and “Get out the Matrix”. I channeled or rather tapped into another energetic source within me to create the songs without a plan, I let Spirit lead me and didn’t revise the hook nor the verses of the tracks. All the tracks were spirit/ energy led. Thus, I channeled my consciousness.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
In my perspective, all things are purposed and present themselves as challenges based on our perception. I perceive life as a game in which we have to choose to “win”. I always have a positive outlook on life.
My foundation is Love, Life, Liberty in Positivity, some things might be difficult however I am always victorious when I alter my mindset to a higher vibration. I find strength in the Source Energy Creator the Most Essential Light that empowers me incessantly to do “Goddess” achievements.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?
I’m forever grateful to Source Energy Creator, my Spirit Guides, ancestors, and Ascended masters for the enlightenment. Thanks to Sidney Jackson a.k.a Sassin who did a superb job on audio production/engineering the songs on the EP. Also, a shoutout to the Monocar Jones for the perfect production of “InnerG Be Like”.
