Interview With California Artist The Band Sebastian

Hi The Band Sebastian! How are you?

I am blessed and excited to be speaking with you.

Where are you from?

I am from Yorba Linda, CA which is located in North Orange County, adjacent to Disneyland.

When did you start music?

I started studying music at 4 years old when I began piano lessons. When I was 6 years old, I used to impersonate, dance, and sing like Michael Jackson for my friends and family. At 11 years old I began composing original classical compositions for solo piano. I also sang in many church and school choirs growing up, including in the 7th grade when I was in an international touring choir performing in the Vatican in Rome, Italy.

How did you get into music?

My mother got me into music. She drove me to piano lessons and singing lessons and invested in me. As a composer herself, she has always worked with me in consulting on the success of my craft. Signing a distribution deal with Amada Records and working directly with their upline as an A&R got me into the music industry side.

Who inspires you the most musically?

I love Bruno Mars and Pitbull. I love their work ethic. I love Bruno’s talent and style and how he is always recreating himself while infusing great musicianship from the past in his work. I love Pitbull’s compositions and productions. He inspires me with his work ethic and philanthropy for education.

What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?

My music is versatile in style and in emotion. I compose contemporary-classical instrumental music for film/tv or relaxation but I also compose pop and dance music. I am a composer by trade so I enjoy different styles but I mostly write pop with rock sensibilities and remix my songs with modern dance remixes infused with House beats. I want people to dance and feel good when they listen to my music.

Any new music coming out soon?

Yes, I have a new House/R&B dance song “True Love” that is dropping in May of 2022 with VIP Recordings that I am really looking forward to.

Anything else you want the audience to know about you?

I believe my purpose on this earth is to help as many artists as possible reach their goals so we can all rise together to the top of the music industry together. I aspire to be a Grammy award-winning artist and a Grammy award-winning record label owner.
