“SAGA B” Exclusive Interview with Muzique Magazine

How did you come by your stage name?

My middle name is Saga and my last name is Bjarnadóttir, so I used the middle name and the initial from my last name as I felt it sounded international.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I have since I can remember Been fascinated by music and creativity has been in my blood, it was a dream since I was young to do something with my talents, I guess it’s when I became thirsty enough to pursue my passion I jumped on it, I started to educate consistently about the industry and how to get it together.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

My style is broad, I can go from R&B to Hip Hop, Gospel to Pop

When I was growing up, music was my life, ranging from Mainstream hip-hop to Latino reggaeton, with some deep house idols like  deadmau5 and pop stars like Britney and Rihanna or artist like Enrique Iglesias, and hip hop stars like Eminem, 50 cents just to mention some,  I don’t really mind genres, if it slaps it slaps, and that is somewhat what you can sense in my style and crafts, I’d say a genre on its own.

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

I just released an EP, Bangers Out.

It consists of 6 songs, 4 already released and 2 more on the way.

It started as a one-song project on a single called Who’s My Daddy back in august, the idea was that I wanted to meet someone special, But he had to be my dream come true, then the lyrics developed from there.

Then as the time progressed I decided to do an EP as I felt like I had a lot of material to work with and wanted to get that out in that style.

The name of the EP Bangers Out consists of a plot twist, it came from the explicit lyrics and one of the songs has a repetitive lyric  “ Bang me harder “, and the songs are Bangers too, but the listener can interpret it in their own wish.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

My greatest challenge has definitely been working 100% independently on my craft and everything involved with no prior knowledge in the industry.

Meantime being an independent mom, running my own household, and working as a General manager at a restaurant, I feel like my greatest attribute is my strong will to strive ahead, my discipline, and my hunger to learn and level up.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

I’m the best at what I do on some levels in the way I do things, But I’m far from the best in everything. I’m evolving every day and I take lessons from everything I do. I believe the moment we think we know it all we lose, I have a lot to learn and I am constantly growing to become better.

What are your plans for the near future?

I plan to move closer to my end goals, I want to release an album in 2021 while developing myself as an artist and experimenting with my vocal range and talent, I want to perform to the masses and make people happy with my music and make an impact.

No matter where you stand in your life, The success you want has a recipe. Sometimes we need some time and adjustments to make it perfect and figure out the right ingredients, But as long as you keep cooking, dinner will be served. Do what others want to have what they don’t.
