Rainfredrick talks about his sense of style, upcoming projects, and more
Rainfredrick brings an endless passion for music, for voices,
for discovery, for people, for life. Fredrick John is a Mexican rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur. A prominent figure in popular music, Rainfredrick is widely credited for popularizing the Spanglish (English+Spanish) sound to the music industry.
How did you come by your stage name?
My Stage name is Rainfredrick, this is from me going out under the rain when I was little, so my friends gave me the nickname Rain… Fredrick is my original first name, so I decided to add them both together and that is why my stage name is Rainfredrick.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I have always loved a good sound, and music for me is a way of life as it seems just so easy telling my stories in my lyrics.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
Drake, Ozuna, Bad Bunny, Anuel, Etc.
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
Alessa is someone I dated who is currently my Ex, I started writing and working on the song while we were still together. and then after the breakup, I decided to keep my lyrics since my fans were already waiting, I didn’t want to take my personal feelings into my music as I would rather make my fans happy.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
Having to describe my Spanish lyrics to my English fans, or my English Lyrics to my Spanish fans, since I do Spanglish music in both English and Spanish on the same track.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
Yes, I am the best at what I do.
What are your plans for the near future?
I have my head up, and I am sure I’ll be the next big thing in the industry soon with the type of music I make.
