Introducing Smook Pearson
Smook Pearson, aka Fat Smook, was born and raised in Jackson, Tennessee, on the impoverished
Eastside.
Smook Pearson has been in the streets since he was 13 or 14 years old, living the street life, which
landed him behind bars a few times. No matter the adversities he faced, Smook never lost his love
for rap and the hip-hop culture. He started writing poetry at an early age and became influenced
by artists such as; Scarface, Tupac, UGK, 8 Ball & MJG, Notorious B.I.G., DMX, and Nas, to name a
few. After seeing his poetry turn into physical forms of music, Smook started turning his poetry into rap
songs, which birthed Smook Pearson, aka Fat Smook.
Smook’s music is raw and authentic. You can see the city of Jackson, Tennessee, through his songs.
Some have said his songs are a soundtrack of the city. Smook is currently signed to One Ten Music.
