Get To Know Hot Upcoming Band FORTS LIKE VANA
Fueled by chaos and reckless behavior, Forts Like Vana is disrupting the rock scene with their raw attitudes and live sound.
Their honest lyrics, punching rhythms, and loud guitar hooks are catching hearts and fans worldwide. From meeting each other on the downtown streets to packing out clubs after their debut EP, FLV is redefining what it means to be a band; whatever they want it to be.
How did you come by your band name?
We had started writing and recording music when show opportunities started to open up but we didn’t know what to call ourselves. It’s kinda an inside joke and far from appropriate to share through the media. Maybe we can tell people the story over a beer or something.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
We all have different experiences for what made us want to shoot for music but in a summary, it was the rush we all felt playing the first “big show”. That’s a feeling we Jones for every day.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
We get with all the rock legends like The Stones, Queen, Eagles, Aerosmith, Zeppelin and admire how authentic they are. What you see is what you get and there are too many groups out there right now not being natural. We live out of each other’s clothes and like to make sure whatever we got on is something we’d wear for any and all occasions.
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
Our up and coming Album, From the Ceiling Up, is all music that we’ve written about our experiences together as a band. We’ve only been around for 2 years and now working with a label, Hutch Down Records, has opened the door to allow us to make our music really sound like us.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
Our greatest challenge is we love to play shows and there are no shows to play in 2020 so if anyone wants to play with us hit us up. Ethics can be optional.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
What we strive for as a group is to be a timeless band. Someone from any age and walk of life to love our music and relate to it. If we make that happen then the answer will speak for itself, ya know?
What are your plans for the near future?
2020 took every plan of ours and bent it over, kicked it out a window, and we’re still waiting for the splat. Hopefully, we can have our first single out soon cause we’re so stoked to get our music out and playing shows again.

Yeah definitely. Anyone that’s been following and supporting us for the last 2 years thanks for being there. They’ve been so patient waiting for us to release music so we can’t thank ‘em enough for it.
