How did you come by your stage / brand name?
It’s my real name cut in half. William Redditt, Will Reddi, Ready is catchier and I always stayed ready so I wouldn’t have to get ready.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
When I realized it was like therapy to me. I could express myself through music. The reason I pursued it was when I figured out how to get paid doing what I love doing, music.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
My influences are legends like Charlie Wilson, Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly, Luther Vandross, Keith Sweat, Baby Face, and Maxwell.
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
Searching 4 Love is my new single, I came up with it by being real with myself, I want that one true love that we all long for. You know the best creation God ever made is woman, I’m ready for mine.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
Challenges, being more creative due to Covid 19, using social media more, branding myself more online. Attributes is that over time I’ve learned how to do a lot of things that are really helpful now.
Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
In my opinion, I’m very good at what I do, to say I’m the best would be a total disrespect to others, it’s enough room for everyone. I’m inspired by anyone who’s figured out a way to make a great living doing what they love to do.
What are your plans for the near future?
To continue to build a loyal fanbase, put out lots of new music, videos, and at least 150 to 200 great paying show per year.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?
Yes, Derrick Hall, the producer of my new album Touch, due for release July 2021, and my music director. My sisters, Tena, Unita, and Brenda. My brother Robert and all my nieces, nephews, and friends.
