The Business of Beats with Hit-Making Maestro Julian Feifel
In this week’s artist feature we would like to introduce a multi-platinum music producer, composer, and an incredible guitarist with a remarkable career in the music industry, Julian Feifel. Currently Julian is based out of his home studio located in Studio City, California – he enjoys this location because it suits his lifestyle and allows him to enjoy nature in a variety of ways. Feifel’s work has been featured all over the world with multiple hits in several continents.
Julian got his start working with a young German-Israeli artist, Gil Ofarim, who at the time was only 15 years old. Primarily, Julian was a songwriter on the album Here I Am which would eventually earn both gold and platinum status in seven countries in Europe and Asia. This would lead to his next major project, working with German pop band No Angels. On No Angels’ debut album Julian wrote “Faith Can Move A Mountain” which would help the album go number one in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In Austria and Switzerland the album was platinum certified, and 7x gold in Germany.
Following these two huge successes Julian began to work as a producer and first collaborated with Swiss female pop group T.E.A.R.S.. With T.E.A.R.S. Julian produced the song “This Is Who I Am” for their debut album En Rogue which would peak at number 8 on the swiss album charts and be certified gold in Switzerland. Soon after Julian began working with another Swiss artist, Mia Aegerter, and together they would write her first four albums. Julian co-wrote and produced these four albums, all of which were top 40 albums in Switzerland. The most successful of these four albums was Mia’s debut album The Way I Am which peaked at number 5 in the swiss charts and certified gold.
Julian’s Success would not go unnoticed and in 2013 was given an opportunity to be in Toby Gads production team alongside Simon Cowell for “The X Factor USA 2013”. Because of his previous successes he was able to move to the United States and start a career doing what he loves. At the conclusion of “The X Factor” Julian started working with Mexican singer/songwriter Sofia Reyes as a co-writer and producer. “Louder!” was the name of the album which went number 1 on the Billboard Latin Album Sales chart and was awarded gold status. Following this huge success in the United States Julian would soon be #1 again but this time in Albania.
With Albanian singer Alban Skendraj Julian produced two number 1 hits “Une Dhe Ti” and “Dhurata”. Fellow Albanian singer Miriam Cani also had a number 1 hit co-written and produced by Julian Feifel, “Meteor”. In Hungary Julian found himself working with the band Mondoki Soulmates. Together they made the album “Living in The Gap/Hungarian Picture” which would go number 1 in Hungary and reach gold certification.
On the performance side of things, Julian is a guitar aficionado who has played on stages all over the world and with many incredible musicians. Some of the most notable musicians he has shared the stage with are Jon Lord, Bobby Kimball (Toto), Robin Gibb (Bee Gees), TheWeather Girls, Steve Lukather (Toto), Al Di Meola, Chaka Khan, Eric Burdon, Gary Brooker, Ian Anderson, Chris Thompson, Peter Frampton, Bonnie Tyler, and so many more.
Recently in 2023 Julian Feifel released a new single “Sick Of Me ” with the artist, Alexis Donn, and the debut EP of Kirstin Collins titled “Floura”.
