Interview with upcoming artist Kilo Patron

How did you come by your stage name?

A friend of mine gave me the name Kilo and Patron comes from my first name Takeila (tequila) like the drink so I combined the two Kilo Patron.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I discovered my love for my music when I was younger around the age of 13. I use to write down lyrics from this song by Lil Kim called ladies night then perform it what realized I wanted to pursue it as a career because I love so much music it heals a person emotionally in so many ways I want to be apart of that I joined this label called No Fake Shit (NFS) It’s a group of many talented rappers that inspire and support me as a new upcoming female artist to go harder in my craft oh and might I add I’m the only Female as well so I feel excited about just being the First Lady in the group.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

I love old school music and new school music so it’s a bit of both style for me.

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?

I came up with my current project when I had to deal with a tough situation in a relationship I took those emotions and went with the flow I’m hoping it touches anyone who has been in times like that.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

My greatest challenge is being able to work with anyone with all types of music and lifestyles, my greatest attributes in music are having great energy for whatever project I’m working on that’s what makes my music best.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

Yes, I’m am the best at what I do because I love what I do and when you love something you put your heart into it.

What are your plans for the near future?

I plan on working with many other artists and help out new upcoming artist who has what it take but just don’t know how to do that and maybe do some movies in the future.
