Dominique Gill Interview with Muzique Magazine
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
When I just a child I loved singing at home and in church. I would low key perform for family and friends. Their compliments gave me the vote of confidence I needed early on.
To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
I’ve always been a big fan of Brandy and Mariah Carey. Some of my favorite gospel artists include Israel Houghton, Sinach, Benita Jones, and more.
On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?
During the 2020 Pandemic, so many were struggling to see themselves as blessed. My husband decided to write a song that would help encourage people to see the goodness of God. This song has been a blessing to so many.
What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
I’d have to say my greatest change is managing the pursuit of my Ph.D., raising my 2 very young daughters, and making music happen. My work ethic is motivated by the push from my husband and the testimonies of those who love my music.
What are your plans for the near future?
I’m excited about recording new music and traveling. Singing at some live concerts and leading worship at our Victory Life gatherings.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?
I’d like to thank my entire family, all of my friends, and our amazing partners and supporters of MGI.
