“Nautilus”, the second solo album of the Italian guitarist Donatella Canepa, comes out on 8 June 2018.
Published by the established Italian label Top Records, the concept album is a journey between the secrets of the abyss and the indefinite space perception. A timeless adventure with no boundaries, starting by the submariner grandfather many years ago and symbolically continuing with the instrumental notes of his niece.
Sailing on guitar and bass, rock music faces the fascinating indomitable sea’s forces. [CD and Digital Album available]
“Orizzonte Rosso” is the single from “Nautilus”. The videoclip was directed by Plamen Georgiev.
Donatella Canepa, born in Genova on March 6, 1992, is an Italian guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and composer. Her career as a soloist began in 2016, after five recording experiences – between albums and EPs – with the bands Coffee Shock, Nomadama, Salto Nel Buio, The Strange Connections and Cantina Club.
Thanks to these projects, some of the pieces composed by Donatella Canepa were broadcast on National radio and tv (Rai, Mediaset). Moreover, together with the band Salto Nel Buio she took part into the Mei Supersound 2012.
The album “All’Inizio Del Mondo”, entirely edited by her, is released in 2017. The work draws good judgement by the critics, and the name Donatella Canepa appears on the pages of the prestigious magazine Classic Rock Italia.
In 2018 she releases her second album “Nautilus”, distributed by the established Italian label Top Records.
