Muzique Magazine. Where are you from?
Muzique Magazine. How did you come by your stage name?
Levi. MY PARENTS GAVE ME IT, it’s my birth name.
Muzique Magazine. When did you start making music and taking it serious?
Levi. I started making music at 14 and start taking it serious at 19.
Muzique Magazine. How do you feel about the present state of the music industry?
Levi. I feel like the talent skill level is watered down and the art is taken less serious, not everybody but majority.
Levi. I was influenced by Jodeci, R Kelly, Lil Wayne, usher, and Donell Jones because their music had the ability to fix my mood and I wanted to have that power to heal someone’s mood or set it.
Muzique Magazine. Today’s music seem to be about collaborations with the “hottest” artist out. Who would you want to work with on a project? And why?
Levi. I would like to work with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis or Teddy Riley on an album because that’s who I look up to musically so it will be great classics created with our sounds combined.
Muzique Magazine. Do you feel that you are an artist/band or entertainer? Explain. I am an artist first because I like to visually paint pictures you can see while listening. I take my craft seriously.
Muzique Magazine. What are you currently working on and how can the people find you?
Levi. I am currently working on my new project, my most personal one yet. My album THE MOAN PROJECT is out now on all major digital platforms.
