How did you come by your brand name?

The word Alterego means “a second self or different version of oneself”. When I read that definition it resonated with me and made sense for my production style as I like to make different genres of music so I took on that producer name.

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?

I found out in grade 10 about music production software and realized that most of the music I was listening to was created on a computer using music software. The first thing I did was download that program on my computer when I got home later that day. I knew from the moment I created the first beat that I wanted to pursue a career in music production.

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?

I feel like I am constantly updating my style; music is more of a feeling to me so as I hear about newer ways of producing music or experimenting with different techniques I update my style of production. I’m a student of the game so there’s always something to learn and new things to try and test out.

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?

I feel that my greatest challenge right now is landing my first major hit as a music producer whether that is a number one record or a Grammy/award-winning record.

Having that opportunity and the doors that open along with that level of success are something that I am excited to accomplish. My greatest attribute when it comes to my work ethic is staying consistent and having good instincts when working on a record.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?

I don’t really worry about if I’m the best at what I do, there are many amazing music producers out there and our industry is more about collaborative effort than individual talents.

Like I said before music is a feeling to me, so if it feels good and I’m able to sonically achieve what I’m trying to do, whether it’s by myself or with a number of other producers than that’s what matters more

What are your plans for the near future?

To get my music out there on as many records as possible from new and upcoming artists to established major artists.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?

Anyone that’s ever supported me in any way and believing in my ability to make this a career.

How can fans find you?

What suggestions do you have for other artists like yourself?

Keep on hustling and never stop learning your craft, with time and consistency you can make a career out of music production.
