At just 12 years old, Rose Ostrowski of Berwick, PA has a variety of accomplishments to be proud of. Using her singing and musical talents, over the last five years the preteen helped raise thousands of dollars for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. On a whim a few months back, the young recording artist submitted her latest single called “Your Words” to the worldwide Unsigned Only Music Competition. Last month she was named as one of the 750 semi finalists out of 6,000 entries and today it was announced that she was named as one of the competition finalists.
The Unsigned Only Music Competition is geared toward musical artists who are unsigned to a major record label or its affiliates. The competition recognizes the best in up-and-coming artists worldwide and represents musical genres in contemporary music.
Ostrowski noted, “I’m really shocked that I made it this far in the competition. “It’s an honor to be named as one of the finalists.”
She continued, “Who would have ever thought that when I recorded my first song almost five years ago that I would be a finalist in a worldwide competition. “It’s pretty insane!”
The competition winners from each category should be announced within the next month, including the grand prize winner, who will pocket $20,000, plus prizes. Each category winner and the runner up will receive plenty of prizes through the competitions’ sponsors and supporters.
Produced by Richmond’s Bill Leverty, ‘Your Words’ has had moderate success since its release in April. The catchy contemporary Christian rock song has had its share of positive reviews from several sources within the music industry.
Ostrowski’s 3rd annual “Adding Tomorrows” Mall Tour to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be kicking off in late September. More details will be announced soon and posted on her website-www.RoseOstrowski.com.
